About Sacred Heart Day Care Programs
Senior Day Care
Our Senior Day Care facility is located at 118 Taunton Ave, East Providence, RI and services Rhode Island and Massachusetts ( MA ). The purpose of the center is to help people in need meet their goals to remain home and in their community with independence and dignity. At the same time their caregivers may benefit from some time away from care giving duties to attend to their own needs, while knowing that a loved one is being cared for in a safe, caring environment.
Sacred Heart Senior Day Care is licensed by the RI Department of Health. All participants must be ambulatory. They will be supervised and cared for by a qualified staff that includes a registered nurse, a program director, a director of activities, and a social worker. Snacks and hot meals will be provided to all participants. Daily planned activities in an atmosphere of respect and kindness is what we strive for at the center.
Co-Pay rates may vary according to the participant’s eligibility for assistance from Medicaid, the Division of Elderly Affairs, Respite, and Veterans, with a base rate of $55.00 per day.
Our facility is open and ready to serve you and your family. To visit and to get more information on the program please contact Sr. Margaret Mary at (401) 714-0145 or (401) 263-3707 and an appointment will be arranged. Our Child Day Care Program
The Sacred Heart Nursery School & Day Care Center was developed to provide quality instructional child care for families in our community. The Center opened on September 18, 1989 after being licensed by the Rhode Island Department for Children and Their families.
In September 1993 an after-school program began with the approval of the R.I. Department for Children and Their Families.
It is our philosophy to motivate and encourage children to develop to their highest possible level. Our major role is to establish a physical, social, emotional, intellectual and active environment where the children will learn by doing. Our program will provide active experiences in the following programs: Health, Cooking, Language Arts, Social Development, Mathematics, Music, Physical Development, Arts and Crafts, and Basic sense of Religion.
Our hours of operation for our child day care programs are as follows:
