A selection of extracurricular activities is offered after school to our students as enrichment to our program at Sacred Heart.
Sacred Heart School Band
The Sacred Heart School instrumental/band program has proven itself to be a powerful enhancement to the school’s fine arts offering. More the half of the students eligible to take part in the program have elected to do so. The band has given concerts at both local Catholic schools and for the parish/school community. Instruments include flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, and percussion. Students attend two instrumental classes per week. Most students rent or purchase their instruments. The school also has a limited number of instruments to lend. The band has produced 2 DVD’s.

Our sports program provides students with an opportunity to learn and grow through competition and cooperation. Athletes develop character, self-discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship through their participation.
In the fall, we offer Cross-Country to boys and girls in our middle school. They practice and compete weekly against other runners from area catholic schools in the Catholic Athletic League.
Other sports including volleyball, basketball, and soccer are offered in the winter/spring by our parent teacher volunteer organization.
Our chorus is an extension of the music program at SHS where the students apply what they learn in class through after school practice and performance. Chorus students are selected by the music director according to their ability. They provide music at our monthly liturgies and perform at special events.
